SOMA Pageant

Many people believe beauty pageants are over rated but let’s be honest who doesn’t want to feel like a princess every once in a while. Pageants are a good way for children to realize you always have to do your best and work to achieve your goal. Granted children don’t always win but in reality all that’s doing is preparing them for all the life events they are going to go through. Pageants are about more than winning; they teach life lessons and let the children express themselves. Nothing is wrong with setting children up for success, at least this way they get to have fun and learn.

Pageants are just like sports, kids play football and basketball and even are on swim teams and nobody says anything negative about that. Pageants are just like sports, you are competing against one another and everybody wants to win. When children play sports they don’t always win and that can be just as hard on a child. If a child is on a team and the team loses the teammates point out every mistake making the children feel like it was there fault they lost. Let children explore and decide what they enjoy doing, there is going to be bad to everything they do but just remember how much joy the get out of the good. The pageant was more exhausting and a lot more work than I have expected. Most people think we just walk around the blocks and look pretty, but it is more tiring than you think. The most exhausting part for me was to smile for a long time for pictures.

There are many different ranks in a beauty pageant; there is not just one winner. The prizes given out depend on what rank you get. Beauty pageants give out a variety of prizes, each pageant is different but prizes may include money, animals, and even scholarships. So not only do pageants help set children up for success and build their confidence they also help pay for schooling.   Pageants are a great opportunity and everybody should take advantage of them.

This is just some information about what is it like to compete in a beauty pageant, especially when it’s your first time. I just want to grab this chance to give thanks to all the people who supported me along the way. So again, my name is Rachel Camille Martinez, 17 years old, Abma 154! (Hahaha) This was my first pageant that I have ever entered. It was a great experience and It takes a lot of courage and confidence to walk across the stage. I already felt blessed for having the “Formal wear” and “Face of the night” award but then the host called my number when she was announcing the top 5, I was like “ seryoso ba to?”, “di nga?”, “shet may Q&A na naman”. I was the only one who answered the question in Filipino, “ang wikang ating kinagisnan” (hahaha), I just got really nervous that time. But it was really a great experience, I just want to know how it feels when you’re the one in the stage or the chance to wrear 5 inches high heels, like it’s my dream to have 5 feet and above. Ate Katreena and ate Charmaine thank you for lending me your heels. That’s all really wanted, haha just kidding. Anyway, I am so proud of all the candidates, organizers who participated in the pageant, especially to our Mr. and Ms. SOMA 20162 1st runner up, Alex Oliveros and Chelsea Dave (woooh, throws confetti hahaha) This was an experience I will never forget. (Kuya John, MY FAMILY. HAHAHA.)

I made close friends, perhaps it was because I was not very competitive, I ended up becoming very close to many of the girls. My mindset was to try my best and make the best out of it. No pressure whatsoever. I even became very close to the girls I met through the pageant. We don’t see each other very often since we came from different blocks, but we now have friends in every single corner of the school. 

It was an exhausting weekend, but I was so proud to walk that stage and show off all my hard work, thanks to mom Dorie for supporting me through out, to my sister Roxy for admitting that I really am the prettiest between us, to my hair and make-up artists, Jerome and Pat, thank you for me making pretty that night, to my designer, kuya Ren thank you for everything from making the desing to making my tattoo haha, to all my friends who helped me make my costumes, Ate Debbie, Ate Mio, Kuya Paolo and Kuya Chino, also to my beloved friend, Lois, Thank you for lending me your gown. And to the man I love, Ayo thank you for all the support and everything, from the start to bottom, I love you. Of course,   To my dad, Mandy for supporting me even though he’s not here. And last but not the least, to God, who really made this possible.

Believe that you can do it and you will do it, whatever it is. Don’t live down to expectations. Go out there and do something remarkable.

Song Writing Contest

Do you have a song/composition that you want to be heard? or event recorded and arranged?

The objective of this contest is to showcase and promote the skills and abilities of APC Students in creating their own songs and to show and discover a new variety of musical compositions. This competition is open to all APC Students only. Members of the Bahay Bombilya and APC Strings are not allowed to join the competition. The song entry requirements are solo contestant, each entry must be an original composition of the contestant, the BB and Strings has the right to disqualify a song entry if the song was plagiarize, open to any Genre, the song must not exceed Four Minutes (4:00), the song entry must be typewritten in a DOC file together with the title, name of the sender, and chords and the entry must also contain a short audio demo in MP3 format.

A collaborative contest between Bahay Bombilya and APC Strings wherein students will be able to share their music through a song writing contest which will feature and show-off their talents/skills in composing music/making songs. The top 5 will perform in the Cafeteria and grand winner will receive a recording and arrangement session plus video coverage from the APC Strings and Bahay Bombilya.

The songwriting entries are reviewed and judged by the songwriting merits alone. Production quality is not taken into consideration. We are looking for great songwriters, not great producers. A simple home or live recording of a song has the same chance of winning the songwriting contest as a professional recording has of winning. Many of the past winners have placed with simple vocal/guitar or vocal/piano recordings. Vocal ability is 'not' taken into consideration. Only the "songwriting" elements of the songs are considered when determining the winners.

The general criteria consist of three things only, first, the musical Content (30%) refers to the appeal of the melody and its accompanying basic harmony. Second, lyrics (30%) refers to the body of the verse used in the musical composition. And lastly, over-all impact (40%) refers to the general appeal of the song entry based on the concept, treatment of subject, structure, and unity of musical elements.

I encourage all songwriters, regardless of experience, and regardless of production to enter in competition like this. This is a great place for talent to be found.

PAG Concert

APC Strings is a part of the performing arts group of the Asia Pacific College. The group was founded in 2014, where the finest musicians from Asia Pacific College who came from different genres of music, are formed together to make a string ensemble. Unlike any other string ensembles, APC Strings is composed of a rondalla and other string instruments such as violin and cello. APC Strings' mission is to enrich Filipino's vibrant culture life through music and to enable more people to experience the power of music. Today, the group has expanded and more talented musicians joined the group. Being part of the APC Strings gives each individual musician to express themselves through music, appreciate and play more music ranging from classical music, Filipino folksongs, kundiman, lovesongs, pop songs and many more. And this is my organization, we had a collaboration with the APC Dance Crew, APC Theatre Phileo, APC Chorale and APC Band. 

The play was overall, a very good one. I enjoyed everything about the play but there is always room for improvement and feedback. Every bit of the narration made sense and gave everyone an idea what is going on. They did an outstanding job and that definitely helped the audience understand the storyline.

The lecture in class about how to react to the audience came into the play. Many if not all of the audience was involved. Seeing others laugh and showing sympathy to the actors made the play that much better. I think going at the night show gave it a dreamlike experience and certainly made it feel “more” like very talent people around me.

During the whole play, I felt like I could relate to at least one of the actors. Everyone knows how anticipating it is corner because everyone is jolly and yet full of happiness. The performers did such a phenomenal job. I felt like they were the actual characters and not just the people I know that I am acquainted to here in Asia Pacific College.

Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God. Use it in every which way possible. Don’t hoard it. Don’t dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly, like a millionaire intent on going broke. Always remember that you are talented, that your talent has value. 

Sana dati

"Sana dati" is a romantic drama film that was directed by Jerrold Tarog who is also the one who directed the famous movie Heneral Luna. Starring Lovie Poe as Andrea Gonzaga, Paulo Avelino as Dennis Cesario, TJ Trinidad as Robert Naval and Benjamin Alves as Andrew Cesario.

The film is about a woman who stalls her big wedding when a guy with a camera shows up and reminds her of a love she once had. The film is a love story about a woman named Andrea (Lovi Poe) whose wedding is thrown into disarray when a mysterious guy, Dennis (Paulo Avelino) arrives and reminds her of the man she really loves.

The story begins with a flash back with Andrea (Lovi Poe) and Andrew (Benjamin Alves) organizing their newly bought place wherein they will open a flower shop. While Andrea was moving things, she found a ring (a wedding ring perhaps) inside a flower vase and Andrew starts to propose to her. But the scene was then cut and the time was back into the present. In the present time, she is being interviewed and recorded by Dennis (Paulo Avelino) for her wedding. But it turns out that she is going to be married to a different person which is Robert (TJ Trinidad). Later on, Andrea found out that Dennis is the brother of her true love Andrew. They went to the rooftop and discussed the different good things that Andrew has done to them. Meanwhile, Robert noticed that both Andrea and Dennis are missing and starts to search for them in the whole building. When he is about to give up in searching for them, he noticed something dropped from the rooftop leading him to have an idea to proceed to the rooftop. Dennis hides and Robert found and escorted Andrea back to the lounge. And then the wedding started, at the center of the event place, Dennis received a piece of paper with writings on it. He didn’t read it until the ceremony was over the paper was given by Andrea telling him to escape with her after the wedding. He didn’t follow Andrea’s orders and went home instead. After a few weeks, Andrea went to Andrew’s grave and handed back the ring the was given to her. Robert fetched Andrea at the cemetery and went home. While on the road, Andrea said “I love you” to Robert.

We never knew why they acted like that till we heard their stories. I would rate this an 8 over 10, the concept was so-so for me but the execution was great. I would recommend this to the more experienced movie-goers, but if you're a casual, you can watch the movie as well, I'm not stopping you.

Paddington

The film takes us back to the beginning of Paddington’s journey. We start in Darkest Peru, which was only alluded to in the TV series. We witness the Brown family’s first encounter with him at Paddington Station, inspiring his name; his introduction to the lovely Mr. Gruber, the sneaky neighbour Mr. Curry and resourceful housekeeper Mrs. Bird; and his first steps into this strange world. A new element is also added to the mix, in the form of Nicole Kidman’s mean Millicent, the Cruella De Vil of taxidermy.

Paddington’s London fits the pleasant image of the city that has proven popular in films dating back to Mary Poppins (1964) and, more recently, in Richard Curtis’ comedies. It is a wonderful, almost magical place although disturbingly, like the hugely popular 2001 French film Amélie, it is almost entirely white. (By contrast, it would be impossible to walk along any street in London today and not see someone of colour, or hear an accent that wasn’t British or a language that wasn’t English.) Likewise, the representation of the Browns bears close comparison with the Banks family in Mary Poppins. Both films tell the story of a father who needs to reconnect with his family and an ‘outsider’ who becomes the catalyst for that. But to suggest that Paul King’s film is too stuck in a past that never really existed, or fuels an image of Britain that is at odds with reality, is to miss the subtlety of what the film achieves.

Throughout Paddington, we catch glimpses of the Calypso band, D Lime, featuring Tabago Crusoe. The first track they play is ‘London is the Place for Me’. It was originally recorded by Lord Kitchener aka Aldwyn Roberts, a Trinidadian musician who was one of the passengers of the famous Empire Windrush, which brought hundreds of Caribbean immigrants to the UK in 1948. That culture would blend with Britain's and that music would help redefine British pop, rock and even punk over the course of the next 40 years. The song, along with the other tracks the band play throughout the film, is key. It reminds us that Paddington, even if he is voiced by the dulcet tones of Ben Whishaw, is an immigrant and his presence in London, a few hiccups excepted, makes life better for everyone. Everyone except Millicent, that is.

Adapting the classic children’s story could have been a disaster, amazingly the story of the titular bear from darkest Peru gets everything right.  From the cast (both the human characters and the voice of Paddington) to the animation of the bear.  Most importantly the comedy is just the right side of silly to make it charming and enchanting.

This is my future”

I was in cloud 9 when I heard my classmates’ statements. Everyone wants to be successful. I even heard some of them wanted to go abroad, hoping to find better opportunities. Others wanted to be in professional field or run a business. Some planned to have their own cars for the next 10 years. And most of all, when the right time comes, some of us wanted to find our better half and build a family of their own. 

 

Of course, I would like to share my own dream. I’ll start with the year 2017, I’ll do my best to be more mature and fierce, because I always want things to be cool and fun. I am 17 years old but I look like and act like a 12 years old little girl. That is why I need more time for myself. After a year, 2018, I just hope, my parents would let me enter in a relationship already. By that time, I’ll be 19 years old, actually, there is someone who’s waiting for me and we’re just waiting for the right time. We wanted to have the normal and legal relationship, which couples should have, not like other teenagers in this generation, what I call illegal relationship. We’re still praying for it actually. Then after that, 2019, I’ll be in the stage, standing in front of my batch mates, wearing a black toga and holding my diploma. This is for my parents and for my future. After a year, 2020, It’s payback time! I’ll work hard and have fun at the same time so I can have enough money to treat my parents. I’ll bring them in Bora bora, Paris, Korea and many more. Of course with the help of my siblings, they’ll have more money by that time because they’re older than me. After spending time with my parents, full time, in 2021-2023, I’ll be focusing on my goals and dreams which is to teach kids because I love spending time with kids. I want them to learn more and to help them with the best that I can. Second, I’ll focus on my talent, which is to play a violin. I was about to choose Music for my course but my dad told me to think about it first that’s why I met Arts. I know there is something inside me who wants to excel more in the field of arts, because I believe I can still do my passion, music, in arts. Lastly, is to focus on my main goal and that is have more projects such as museum, art or music events and many more. I told myself that I will combine these three in one museum, my artworks would be about kids, (paintings or photos) with music that I will compose and after that I’ll do my best to have more projects and clients. After that all fun experiences, in the year 2024, I just wish, my boyfriend would set a very romantic but cool and funny proposal surprise for me. Then we will be planning about our future in the year 2025, this is a serious matter, because I want to have our own house before we get married and for us to be able to use our skills in arts and woods, or whatever they call that. And in 2026, I’ll be no longer using my last name I got in my dad, because I’ll be having my future husband’s last name, and I hope that would be Bernal.

 

            Just like me, when we try hard to pursue or plans and aspire, we will meet our dreams mortal enemy: LIMITATIONS. Limitations tell us that we “cannot” and we “will not.” Each of us has limitations and they usually prevent us from believing ourselves. They pull us down until we give up standing and fighting for our dreams. Our limitations do not define who we are but they are a good measure of our heart. Are we brave enough to push our limits until we reach the boundaries of failure? Are we humble enough to accept every failure is a stepping stone for our success? I know that I am not that tall. This is my limitation but this is not who I am. I am more than my height and my faith is bigger than my limitation.

            Well, anyway as I end this, I want to leave this message to whoever would be reading this essay, “Let us make sure we are very much prepared to fulfill the plans and dreams that we carry in our hearts. After 10 years, I want each of us to be living and breathing our dreams.” Yet I want to post this challenge: let us be impatient with our dreams. Do not wait for ten years to finish before you act. Be your dream today!

 

Normal life of a Student

Every student has his or her own particular set of personal problems, there are also problems and upsets that face all students and especially, all college students. For instance, because of the newfound freedom of dorm life sans parental oversight, many new students stay up late, party and lose sleep or in alternative they will make their so called projects as an excuse to be free. Too much lost sleep can eventually lead to falling grades, stress, depression and even to death, many scientists have already proven this kind of issue. So it is best to try to notice minor mess-ups early on and catch them before it becomes a bigger issue.

The first common thing students is the cost of college is too expensive. However, expenses are not the only thing colleges students have to worry about, though. But do your best not to let this bum you out. With a tough economy, everyone worries about money. Look at the money you have coming in every month and make a budget or make a list so you can check the things you are spending every day. 

Your parents did the best that they can to make sure you’re safe and healthy and staying healthy requires you to set ground rules for yourself. One of the biggest changes of coming to college is that your parents are no longer around to set parameters for you. Now you have to do it yourself because no one else will. If you want to stay up all hours, skip classes, drink alcoholic beverages, smoke cigarettes and have random sex, no one will stop you. If you choose to eat fatty fried foods and no vegetables or fruits, it’s allowed. If you don’t exercise, that’s okay with everyone around you. The big problem with this behavior is it will lead to bad health and bad habits. You’ll feel awful and probably look worse, so are you sure you want to ruin your beautiful face? It will affect your social life and eventually your academic standing as well. So think about it.

 

 

Unfortunately, freshmen college students are reporting high levels of stress. A 2010 study on more than 200,000 freshmen at four-year colleges, more students rated themselves as below average in emotional health than ever before. In 2012, the American College Health Association compiled an assessment of undergraduates and 30 percent reported that stress had caused a negative impact on their studies. There’s all kinds of stress in college life such as academic stress, financial stress, relationship stress and many more. But don’t let this problem pull you down. Instead do some alternative things so fight this kind of dilemma such as exercise, meditation, prayer and talking it out with friends can all help.

 

God’s plan for us is to make us ultimately happy. We have our own plans but if it is not happening then that’s not what God wants us to have. We should trust God, everything happens for a reason. We are having problems because God wants us to learn from it, you may not see it today but eventually you will realize it. Just be yourself and don’t let the problem pull you down.

 

Smoking kills”

Smoking is one of the worst things kids or adults can do to their bodies. Yet every single day about 3,900 kids between the ages 12 and 17 start smoking. But why do those who smoke ever begin? There's more than just one answer. Some kids may start smoking just because they're curious. Others may like the idea of doing something dangerous — something grownups don't want them to do. Still others might know lots of people who smoke and they might think it's a way to act or look like an adult. Fortunately, fewer people are starting smoking than a few years ago. Maybe that's because more and more people have learned that smoking and tobacco use can cause cancer and heart disease. But sometimes kids can't really think that far into the future to worry about an illness they might not get for many years.

 

 

 

These are some of the problems that might affect kids more quickly: bad breath, yellow teeth, smelly clothes, more colds and coughs, difficulty keeping up with friends when playing sports, empty wallet — cigarettes and tobacco products are very expensive. The nicotine and other poisonous chemicals in tobacco cause lots of diseases, like heart problems and some kinds of cancer. If you smoke, you hurt your lungs and heart each time you light up. It also can make it more difficult for blood to move around in the body, so smokers may feel tired and cranky. The longer you smoke, the worse the damage becomes. Using tobacco eats up a lot of money, too. A pack of cigarettes costs about 270php, on average. That means, even if you buy just one pack a week, you'll spend 1,872php in a year. Some people smoke a pack a day, which adds up to 7,560! That's a lot of computer games and clothes you could buy instead.

 

 

Usually, people don't like smoking or chewing tobacco at first. Your body is smart, and it knows when it's being poisoned. When people try smoking for the first time, they often cough a lot and feel pain or burning in their throat and lungs. This is your lungs' way of trying to protect you and tell you to keep them smoke free. Don’t assume that smoking will help you through the stress of exams. Medical evidence shows that smoking doesn’t actually calm you down. It’s simply the case that nicotine cravings between cigarettes make you feel stressed and anxious, so when you have one you feel temporarily calm. You’ll feel less stressed once you quit and no longer have cravings.

 

 

 

If you’re already a smoker, becoming a student could be the ideal time to quit. Going to university or college is a fresh start and a new way of life, and this is your chance to start your new life in a positive, healthy way. But If you think it will help, you could print out articles like this one to give to a friend who smokes. He or she may be interested in learning more about the dangers of smoking. But people don't like to hear that they're doing something wrong, so your pal also could be a little angry. If that happens, don't push it too much. Turn Left Turn Right

We were required to watch this movie, “Turn Left, Turn Right”. It’s about a man and a woman, meeting again after 13 years. You’d think that this is your traditional romantic movie, but it’s not. Turn Left, Turn Right would make you think about people being destined to each other. As how the movie put it, coincidence may sometimes not yet be ready to turn into fate. It would happen when the universe is ready for you to see each other again. Indeed, timing is everything.

 

 

Turn Left Turn Right is a sweet little movie based on the charming illustrated love story 'A Chance of Sunshine' by renowned Taiwanese author/artist, Jimmy Liao. The story, set in Taipei, revolves around John Liu (Takeshi Kaneshiro), an aspiring violinist who is flocked by women like bees to honey because of his handsome face. However, what he really wants is to meet someone special who appreciates his violin performance. Eve Choi (Gigi Leung) is a professional translator whose true passion is translating love poems, but for work she is stuck in translating cheesy novels and cheap thrillers which make her feel tense and frightened. Like millions living in a large city, John and Eve lead lives of solitude. Living in different units of the same apartment building and separated by one thin wall, the two have brushed shoulders in crowd hundreds times, but somehow their paths never really cross.

          But as the movie tagline says, even two parallel lines will meet one day!

 

          So one day at a fountain in the park, they finally bump into each other... and it's love at first sight! Just like a pair of long-lost lovers, John and Eve spend a beautiful afternoon together. Unfortunately, a sudden shower cuts the encounter short. They exchange phone numbers and quickly run home. Yet fate plays a cruel joke on them, the rain has soaked through their precious scrap of paper and the phone numbers are hopelessly smudged. You will be in constant anticipation as to whether the couple will ever be reunited as you watched them having one missed encounter after another, while meddling acquaintances and pure bad luck conspire to keep the would-be-lovers apart.

The movie is not perfect, but I for one, love the use of colours in this movie. I love the opening scene which showed a mob of people with a barrage of black umbrellas, save a green one held by John and a red one by Eve. I also adore Eve's outfits, a mish mash of colours from the sweaters to the scarves and the skirts she wears.

Follow your passion

One actor came from a theatrical family, Jon Santos, went to our school, Asia Pacific College, to talk about Following your passion, he did follow his passion. He finds himself as companion in a theatrical journey that will, aptly enough, explore themes of compassion, tolerance, and respect for people whose sexual, cultural and personal inclinations may be radically different from ours. In contrast, Santos’ parents wanted him to be a doctor. He could have availed of a government scholarship that would have led him to study medicine or science, until he found out that his parents would have to foot the bill in his later years. Santos eventually shifted to economics with a career track either in education, finance or banking. When he was in high school, he said that he didn’t notice that he was already doing his thing for his future and that is to impersonate a person, it started when he was copying his teacher and his classmates was enjoying it. He was the clown in their class until someone came, which he didn’t mention in his speech, that changed everything.

He gave us ten tips about this topic following your passion. First is to listen, there is a voice that is telling you about what to do and don’t. It’s can be positive such as telling you that you’re in the right path or negative to help you out go back so you can start again like shifting, this might sound negative but it will help you for your future. Second, all learning will enrich you, that is so true, some would think it will not because they are lazy but no, it will really enrich you. For example, in the field of music, everybody loves music. It is great entertainment, that helps you both relax and focus. But did you know that music can also greatly help you learn a new language? And not only by immersing you in a culture and a tradition: Music genuinely helps your brain to process all this new information quicker and better. Here are five reasons why music is a great tool for learning a new language. So for the third, he said, but learning what you love will make you the richest man in the world. It’s more fun and easy to work in the future if you are doing what your heart really want. Would like to work on somethings you don’t like or used to? Fourth, Knowledge is everything, knowledge is power, community is strength and positive attitude is everything. Fifth, win the war before you fight, sometimes you have to lose the battle to win the war. If you believe strongly in something, fight for it. In time things will fall in place. Sixth, Adjust, adopt, evolve. Eight, always be grateful, when you’re thankful for what you have, you are always rewarded with more. Try to stay positive and things will get better. Ninth, you are never alone in journey, you’ll always be with you pilgrims. Always remember the robot see the enemy, it is always us. And lastly, love yourself and the let go of yourself. If you don’t follow your passion, you’ll end paying the price. He also added that we must choose the right friends, a good friend is a lamp on a table. Unfriending is okay.

Happiness is when you get something, Joy is when you give something. Strive to be happy and always remember that every second is an open door, all success is a gift.

Cheers and chants

An integral part of any pep rally, ball game or cheerleading practice is wrapped up in the cheers, chants and songs that are used. This activity is mostly done in universities. One example is my recent college school, Asia Pacific College. We had our Cheer and Chants competition and it was held on February 05, 2016 in the Auditorium. We gave so much effort and time for it, and as well as the other competitors. We had so much fun because we had the chance to know more about ourselves and to our batch mates.

 

A chant is much shorter than a cheer. A chant tends to be two to four lines repeated over and over. A chant is quick and makes a point. Remember too that chants tend to be easy to remember, so encourage the audience to get involved as well. You can do this by having one cheerleader motion them to join in, with cards or by placing a few students in the stands to encourage other fans to chant along. Cheers tend to be longer than your typical one or two-line chant. Cheers serve a specific purpose as fillers that get the crowd revved up. For example, you'll often see longer cheers before a game starts or at halftime and quarter breaks. The words and movements that go along with cheers tend to be more complicated and longer and you'll also often see a pyramid or other stunts during cheers. There are many ready-made cheers to which you can put your own motions and movements or add your own twists, or you can make up your own. Again, the best time to use a cheer is during longer breaks, such as halftime and quarter breaks or before a game starts.

 

A good cheerer needs to be smiling even when your team is losing 45-7 to your biggest rival. No matter how hard a stunt or a cheer is, you've gotta keep the grin intact. You gotta have pipes on ya if you're gonna be a great cheerleader. We're talking a clear, loud voice. You've also gotta be able to maintain that loud voice while performing routines. Kinda like Usher belting it out while still bustin' a move. It's not as easy as you think. Practice the moves and the words together - a lot - because sometimes your voice might slip if you're concentrating on the moves of a cheer. Also, lie on your stomach and belt out the cheers while concentrating on your gut. This will help you learn to yell from your stomach, rather than your throat. Your vocal chords will thank you later. A good cheerleader's moves are always tight and rigid. When you clap, your arms should be in front of your face (about lip or nose height) and should not go past your shoulders on the release. Have a buddy put his or her hands on your shoulders and learn to clap in the space in between. Eventually, you'll have that snappy, tight cheerleader clap.

 

The Cpe 151 won and got the Highest award which is the Champion. But not because of that reason we will give up and let our feelings pull us down. Instead, we celebrated for all the hard work we’ve done for that subject. And we’re all glad with that kind of experience here in our school. The most important thing is that we enjoyed had fun with things we’ve done.
